La publicaci\u00f3n del 3 de abril de 2026 provoc\u00f3 un intercambio en la red social que llev\u00f3 al m\u00fasico a aclarar su postura.<\/p>\n<p>Un usuario respondi\u00f3 que no sab\u00eda que Flea fuera gay, pero que no le importaba. Otros participantes defendieron el mensaje y criticaron las respuestas negativas. Flea contest\u00f3 directamente: \u00abLes agradezco su apoyo. Y para que conste, soy heterosexual. Expreso mi amor, respeto y alegr\u00eda por mis hermanos y hermanas homosexuales\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>El bajista, cuyo nombre real es Michael Peter Balzary, ha mostrado a lo largo de su carrera una actitud abierta hacia la identidad y la expresi\u00f3n personal. Ha rechazado ideas fijas sobre la masculinidad y la banda se ha identificado desde sus inicios con una imagen libre en el escenario.<\/p>\n<p>En su libro de memorias <em>Acid for the Children<\/em>, Flea decidi\u00f3 no incluir experiencias pasadas con hombres que hab\u00eda mencionado en versiones anteriores del texto. En una entrevista con <em>The Guardian<\/em> en 2019 explic\u00f3: \u201cNo quer\u00eda que se sensacionalizara la noticia. Para m\u00ed no fue gran cosa.
