La banda de Portland, liderada por Gabriel Franco, lleva desde 2017 (primero como Idle Hands) creando uno de los cruces m\u00e1s adictivos entre gothic rock cl\u00e1sico, heavy metal tradicional y esa melancol\u00eda oscura que te deja clavado en el sitio. <\/p>\n<p>No suenan a revival barato ni a copia de los 80 o 90: tienen su propia voz, riffs pesados cuando hace falta, melod\u00edas que se te pegan al cerebro y letras que hablan de adicci\u00f3n, soledad, decisiones destructivas y esa sensaci\u00f3n constante de que algo va mal en el mundo.<\/p>\n<p>Para quien llega nuevo, aqu\u00ed va una lista de 7 canciones que funcionan perfecto como puerta de entrada.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Heroin (del \u00e1lbum Strength, 2021)<\/strong><br \/>Empieza fuerte. Esta es la patada inicial que muchos necesit\u00e1bamos. Riff agresivo, voz de Franco en modo desesperado y un solo de guitarra que se retuerce como si estuviera sufriendo. Es heavy, rabioso y te deja claro que Unto Others no vino a hacer m\u00fasica bonita solamente. When Will God\u2019s Work Be Done (Strength, 2021)<\/strong><br \/>Uno de sus singles m\u00e1s potentes y el tema que convirti\u00f3 a mucha gente en fan. Tiene un bajo que golpea como un martillo, coros grandiosos y esa mezcla perfecta de gothic metal y heavy tradicional. Cuando llega el estribillo sientes que est\u00e1s en una iglesia abandonada escuchando metal. Butterfly (del \u00e1lbum Never, Neverland, 2024)<\/strong><br \/>La canci\u00f3n que present\u00f3 su \u00faltimo disco y una de las m\u00e1s redondas que han sacado nunca. Melod\u00eda goth ochentera pegajosa, letra sobre el poder de destruir o proteger a alguien, y un video hipn\u00f3tico. Suena fresca pero a la vez como si pudiera haber salido en 1989. Suicide Today (Never, Neverland, 2024)<\/strong><br \/>No dejes que el t\u00edtulo te asuste. Es extra\u00f1amente pegadiza, casi upbeat dentro de su oscuridad, con un estribillo que se te queda dando vueltas durante d\u00edas. Give Me To The Night (Mana, 2019)<\/strong><br \/>De su primera etapa (a\u00fan como Idle Hands, pero reeditado despu\u00e9s). Atm\u00f3sfera nocturna, melod\u00edas vocales cristalinas y un feeling melanc\u00f3lico que define muy bien el sonido temprano de la banda. Summer Lightning (Strength, 2021)<\/strong><br \/>Aqu\u00ed bajan un poco la intensidad y entregan una pieza casi power-ballad con cowbell incluido. Emotiva, mel\u00f3dica y con un gancho enorme. Downtown (Strength, 2021)<\/strong><br \/>Rock urbano con actitud, riff directo y un estribillo que invita a cantar (o gritar) junto. Tiene ese toque callejero y oscuro que conecta con la parte m\u00e1s punk y Misfits de su ADN.
